I believe in the CONSERVATIVE principles and values of the Republican Party as they are written, and not how they are currently practiced by today's RINO's. Smaller government, lower taxes, more personal responsibility, states' rights, free market capitalism, and less government intrusion in our lives!

First, as a Christian, I do not support gay marriage. Second, as an American, I do not support government marriage. The first is self explanatory, the second needs a little explanation. Our First Amendment guarantees our freedom of religion and marriage is an institution of the church. Therefore, the government involving themselves in marriage is unconstitutional. The government’s only responsibility should be in contract law, whereby they enforce the agreements determined when the two individuals marry. Two mentally fit legal adults should be able to enter into any contract they see worthwhile. Additionally, no one as of yet has provided me with just cause for a constitutional amendment. It is already a law in our state that only traditional marriage is recognized! It is time we take Christian marriage back from the state whereby our church can determine what constitutes a marriage based on our faith, not some politicians with their own special interests. What happens when gay marriage becomes popular in the legislature like what just happened in Maryland? I bet then you would have wished you spent all this energy trying to wrestle our rights back from the state than expelling it by providing the state more authority in our lives and religion.
