IMPORTANT INFO and last Sample Ballot (v8)

SAMPLE BALLOT (v9)

It’s time for you to decide.  If there is a race that you’re not sure of, please see our resources on the “CANDIDATES General Election“.

Really important things to remember:

  1. For president, you must mark your choice.  This race is not part of the straight party vote.  If you don’t mark one of the candidate’s names, then  no vote will be cast for president.
  2. There are two listed “write-in” candidates on this ballot and ONLY those candidates’ votes will count.  In the state of North Carolina, a candidate must be approved by the NC State Board of Elections before their votes will count.  For example, no votes for Mickey Mouse will count in the presidential race in North Carolina, even if Mickey Mouse gets more votes than Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.  But if Virgil Goode gets more votes than Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, then Virgil Goode wins in NC.  To further make my point, no votes for Ron Paul will count for president in North Carolina.  The other only “write-in” candidate is in the governor’s race, and his name is Donald Kreamer.
  3. The NC Supreme Court race is said to quite possibly THE MOST important race in North Carolina.  A vote for the Republican will keep the court in a 4:3 conservative majority.  A vote for the Democrat will shift the court to a 4:3 liberal majority.
  4. Partisan races mean candidates must label themselves either Republican Party, Democrat Party, or Libertarian Party to help inform voters about their philosophies.
  5. Non-partisan races mean the candidates don’t take on any political party label on the ballot, but they may, and usually do, have a party affiliation and are active with their Party.
  6. Continue to check for updates before you vote, and get full candidate information on the “CANDIDATES” page of the website.

If this information is new to you, then please share it with your friends and family.  Much of it was news for me.

About Christine

I believe in the CONSERVATIVE principles and values of the Republican Party as they are written, and not how they are currently practiced by today's RINO's. Smaller government, lower taxes, more personal responsibility, states' rights, free market capitalism, and less government intrusion in our lives!
